Launched in 1982 and designed by Carole Didisheim, the Constellation Manhattan redefined what a dress watch could look like. The signature griffes at 3 and 9 o'clock started as an engineering solution to secure the sapphire crystal, and became one of the most recognisable details in vintage watch collecting.
This ref. 396.1070 from 1987 wears beautifully. White dial with blued hands, Roman numeral bezel with lacquer completely intact, integrated stainless steel bracelet. Quartz calibre 1444, Chronometer certified by COSC. At 33mm wide and only 7mm thin it is one of the most wearable vintage watches out there, unisex in every sense.
