The Constellation 2000 ref. 355.0814 is one of Omega's most quietly radical designs — a full-rotor automatic dressed in a case so thin it reads as quartz at first glance. That 8 mm profile is the work of the Calibre 711, a movement designed for exclusive use by Omega, running at 19,800 vph with a 42-hour power reserve. Thinness this extreme in an automatic was extraordinary in the 1970s, and it remains impressive today.
The square stainless steel case — 31.5 mm wide, 37 mm tall — integrates seamlessly into the bracelet, the two becoming a single object on the wrist. Dauphine hands sweep over the matte black dial, framed by a gold-bordered bezel. Brushed and polished surfaces work in contrast across the case and tapering bracelet links. The hidden deployant clasp keeps the profile clean from every angle.
