The Omega Genève 166.0190 is one of the more visually striking references to emerge from Omega's 1970s output. Produced between 1974 and 1975, it combines two of the decade's most distinctive design elements: the "TV dial" – named for its characteristic rounded rectangular shape – and a deep black dial that commands attention without apology.
Against the stainless steel tonneau case, the black dial creates a contrast that is unambiguously 1970s in spirit but entirely wearable today. The applied indices catch the light cleanly, and the overall composition has a graphic strength that more conservative references lack.
This is a rare reference. The combination of TV dial format and black dial in good original condition is not something you see regularly.
